19th Centuary Perrins Target PistolFor auction from www.gunbroker.com is a 19th century Perrins Target pistol, looks like a percussion boot pistol with target sights canted to the right side. Center hammer gets in the way. heavy barrel is screw in type. Rear peep sight ok but front globe has hood broken off. Heavy 6 1/4 " barrel has rifled .50 cal.?? bore and has a nice patina to it as does the whole piece. Right receiver has scroll leaf pattern and marked "WORCESTER", scribed not stamped. Left side the same but marked "PERRINS". action is tight and grips are fine. bottom trigger guard scribed with
compass
rose type starburst. Pistol has a nice weight to it...I would love to try it.
Two English proofs on bottom of chamber. This is a nice and unusual specimen of a Perrins pistol. http://www.gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.aspx?Item=157603040
