Lynn has a 12 bore round action hammer gun by Perrin & Son Makers,
Worcester. The gun number is # 3177, but the exact date of manufacture in
unknown. The gun is in an exceptionally good condition with very well
defined pattern on the barrels
It has a left side opening leaver with a single bite lock and Damascus
barrels.
Interesting features with this gun is the original green beige hard case with
the makers label inside, (Perrins & Son, 59 Broad Street). There is
also a full metal butt plate which is the only Perrins we have seen with this
feature so far.




Also
in the collection is a 16 bore round action hammer gun by Perrin &
Son. It has a left hand side opening lever with a single bite lock and Damascus
barrels.
Interesting features is the pegged fore-end also with a head and toe metal
butt plate a feature of many of the Perrins & Son guns but not all.



Lynn's
third Perrins gun is a 20 bore square action hammer gun by Henry Perrins Maker,
St George Square, Worcester. This maker name is unusual, as so far this is
the only gun we know that has links to this specific address with only Henry's
name mentioned.
It has a top opening leaver, with a single bite and dolls head locking
mechanism, with black steel sleeved barrels.
Interesting features of this gun is the highly figured stock and the metal
head and toe butt plate.
